Anoushka Cole is an artist and maker. Her process based practice is material and location led, often working with organic resources of a certain landscape. Having recently relocated to a wooded area of East Sussex her current focus is working directly with the materials that surround her whilst investigating local material histories, traditions and narratives.
Alongside her studio practice, Anoushka works at Chelsea College of Art, UAL, where she has built a biomaterial lab for the textiles programme. She previously spent 2 years developing a Material Lab and Library at the maker space, Green Lab. This facility offered a community work space for both students and practitioners exploring material research focused projects. She teaches workshops focused on biomaterials, material making, printmaking and plant dyes, sharing knowledge, accessible methods of researching and open source learning.
